Avoiding Online Gambling Scams Before they Happen

Gambling scams were never as recognized and as widespread as when it finally came in contact with cyber space. Online gambling, although beneficiary for those gambling aficionados, allowing them to gamble and avail of the enjoyment at home, also has some of its downsides more specifically the existence of online gambling scams.

Online scams usually include the refusal of a certain game company to "give you" your winnings. Some gambling scams may even go as far as totally refusing to let you win with absurd probabilities, and then refusing to let you cash out the remaining money you've got left.

One way to avoid these scams is to know what they are. Here are two most prevailing online gambling scams that you should be aware of, and should be able to detect easily.

Illegitimate Bonuses

Some gambling companies even go as far as inviting their former scammed customers under the ruse of "bonuses" telling them how sympathetic they are about you being scammed, and offering a bonus if you play with them instead. Just think, where did they get your contact details? Well they got it from that short form you filled out when you joined the first scam casino, and they're actually looking to rip you off again.

What do they do? When it's actually time for you to claim your bonus, they say that you are ineligible to receive the bonus.

To avoid being re-scammed, never fall for these types of offers. Even if you haven't been scammed yet, they'd still send you a bonus offer then refuse to give it to you once you've deposited your money. A good rule of thumb with online gambling, if it's too good to be true, then it probably is.

Piracy

One way to know a legitimate online casino is its affiliations and memberships; one such is the Interactive Gaming Council (ICG). However, logos provided by such organizations can easily be copied on the net, and what scammers do, is they imitate, sometimes, go as far as duplicating the design of a legitimate casino to pass off theirs. It is a good measure to look up the name of the online casino on the members list of the certain organization. ICG and others usually provide an easy to browse and search members list on their web sites.

To make sure that the casino you're subscribing to is legit, type the company name and the word review in the search engine and read about them, you'll more or less get an idea of how they work.

The Secrets to Avoiding Addictive Gambling

Narcotic drugs aren't the only things that are addictive in this world. Gambling is also addictive. There have been a lot of incidences of people stealing, getting too indebted sometimes even committing suicide just because of gambling problems. In addition Gambling happens legally in 27 states in the US.

Some people say it's hard not to get addicted to gambling. Actually, it is only a matter of self control and knowing when to stop. Gambling need not be addictive if you don't view it as that.

Off course, gambling is all around us, simple bingo nights for charity, bets with friends, these are all a gamble, but why doesn't everybody get addicted if it's this widespread? The answer is everyone that's not addicted knew when to quit.

Most compulsive gamblers lose their rationality and actually believe that they are "lucky", that there's no way that they can lose.

First of all you must know that eventually, everybody loses in gambling. The only party that wins is the company. Gambling was designed to produce net profits for the owners.

If you are gambling for recreation and not for winning, it may only be a matter of time before you become a professional gambler. These are the people who live off betting and risking. A large win might be the single trigger to make you believe that you'll always win. And this isn't the correct mindset.

If you catch yourself finding the urge to gamble, why not ask your family or friends to play with you in a low-risk game, like bet tonight's dessert or who gets to take out the garbage. As much as possible, never bet with money.

If you're starting to have gambling impulses, better stay off casinos or any place that focuses on gambling. Ask the help of family or friends so that you won't' be tempted.

When the addiction is really starting to get hold, it's probably best to find an organization or a share group in your community that deals with these types of addiction. Like Alcoholism, Gambling addiction is curable, and what better cure than prevention.

Remember, gambling is your choice, you're not being forced into it; you don't have to do it to have a good time. If you're starting to think of borrowing money just to finance your gambling, tell someone close to you about it and with their help, discuss the disadvantages and probable problems that could come out of too much gambling.

When Luck Matters in a Gambling Business

For over a quarter of a century now, gambling has dominated as an industry. More and more people do not just see this as a form of recreational activity but as a lucrative business opportunity as well.

Nowadays, there are almost 445 casinos in the United States and still growing more. No wonder why many business people are opting to start a gambling business of their own because it seems to be the in-thing today. And wherever trends come, business-minded people would surely dominate the scene.

However, like any businesses, operating a gambling business also entails careful management and makes use of strategic methods so as to increase the business' money-earning potential.

Luck or Skill?

Most people say that operating a business needs dogged determination, skills in all aspects of the business, and luck.

Hence, it applies the same thing in gambling business. But where gambling mostly relies in the stroke of luck, gambling business owners should not do so. This is because operating a business, in whatever form, should not merely rely on luck but on one's skills and determination.

Indeed, businesses also have the risk of losing or winning in the end, just like gambling. But nevertheless, it still needs the proper management and operative measures so as to have a successful gambling business.

Things to consider

Just like any kind of business, running a gambling business also entails money. A person can never continue running a gambling business if it no longer has money.

People should keep in mind that running a gambling business is not a "get-rich-quick_ scheme. Therefore, things that will be employed should be in conformity with the law.

It also needs good planning. Of course, there is nothing in this world that will be successful if not with good planning. Planning keeps the business right on track. It gives the owner a special guide in order to make decisions properly.

Moreover, dogged determination is required. Surveys show that almost 65% of the businesses, which were not able to succeed, had instantly given up their businesses just because of some trials.

And lastly, good accounting skill is needed in order to run a gambling game. After all, gambling entails lots of money, so it is just proper to keep track of whatever comes in and out of the business.

The bottom line here is that running a gambling business, like any other business, is not an easy job. What's more, it needs a good combination of everything so as to get the business going, whether it includes luck or not.

Things to Get Started in Gambling Business

Gambling is one of the lucrative gaming activities in the society today. It is lucrative in the sense that it renders endless possibilities for a businessman to earn more money.

This is where the reality sinks in, that, in gambling, the only person who gains from it is the business man or the owner of the gambling business. This is because people who play gambling games usually end up losing more as they continuously try their luck by adding more bets and risking more money, and even property.

With this fact, no wonder why more and more people are resorting to put up a gambling business, especially now that the Internet is incessantly growing at breakneck speed.

Moreover, with the advent of the Internet, setting up a gambling business online is relatively easy. Best of all, you don't just get to earn more money but get to penetrate the industry faster and even better because of the wide diversity that the Internet can cover.

No wonder why in the United States alone, commercial casinos have accumulated almost $29 billion in just a year of gross revenue.

In fact, commercial casinos are prevalent in the US nowadays. There are currently 28 states that have Indian casinos, 11 have commercial casinos, and 40 states have lotteries. All in all, the US has 445 commercial casinos.

So for people who want to start gambling business, especially those online, here's how:

1. If a person wants to start an online gambling business, it is important to get the needed items first. The most important thing of all is the software. Be informed that this costs millions of US dollars. This goes to show that people who want to start an online gambling business must be really rich.

2. Whether online or not, starting a gambling business needs an approval from the government. This goes to show that the gambling business being put up is legal and conforms to the rules and regulations set up by the law.

3. For online gambling business, it is a must that the owner has to be a licensee of an online gambling software provider. In this way, the business owner will be able to receive the necessary equipments and software needed in the online gambling business.

Indeed, gambling business can be very lucrative, especially if it is a legal one. And just like any businesses, proper management is the key element in order to succeed in the industry.

Tips on Beating the Odds!

There seems to be a thousand ways to gamble just as are there are a thousand ways and chances to lose. But let's face it, for most betters gambling is not about living the "bet-and-leave-if-you-lose" attitude. They play to win!

In any endeavor, it's essential to know the rules of the game in order to play it better and stay on the winning edge. Keeping simple advice in mind and mastering several gaming strategies before jumping into any gambling activity will help you increase your chances of beating the bookies and eventually overpower them.

While it's true that this article aims to develop your winning potential, one mustn't forget that gambling is not all about winning. We gamble for fun while keeping a system which helps us defeat the percentage of losing.

Here are a few tips which you can apply when engaging in any gambling activity. It is also important to keep in mind that these systems are not perfect but following them offers you a great deal of certainty in winning.

* Keep It Small - Going small time won't hurt and is good to your pocket. Big time betting is perfect if you are sure that your chance of winning is always 100%. You may lose your money in the end but you may have enjoyed the activity for a long time.

* Bet With Lucky Pals - There are hands and there are hands for gambling. Bet with lucky gamblers of the day. No matter how you master the system operating on every game, if the day does not favor your side then live with it. Joseph Conrad once said that, "It is the mark of an inexperienced man not to believe in luck."

* Eye on the Pattern - Go with the flow. Bet on the numbers/players which gets the most wins. Predict its chances by keeping history of their wins and loses. This helps you formulate a decision when risking your stake for them.

* Avoid the favorites! - Good betting is impeded by unhealthy judgment about favorite players, numbers, etc. Improve your judgment by weighing the odds while looking at other prospects that get the possibility of winning.

* Unleash Your Psychic powers - Confucius implied that the first thing that comes in your mind is usually the best answer to a question. Playing on your inner psychic power pays!

* Stop Ahead - Be in control of your winnings. Take over gambling more than it takes over you.

* Gamble for fun - While it's true that some people gamble to win, we must also consider that it was originally created to provide fun and entertainment. Investing in gambling is a bad idea!

Rules for Poker Games - Five Card Stud Five Card Stud is a variation which has been around for hundreds of years, though the variation played in today's casinos is much different from the five card stud games played in the 1800's. The strategy, game play, and game flow are much different than Hold'em, the world's most popular poker game, mostly due to the fact that vastly different hands win pots in five card stud. Five Card Stud is one of the easiest poker games to learn. It requires patience and exceptional observational skill for players to succeed. Read on: Five Card Stud Poker Rules

Rules for Poker Games - Five Card Draw Five Card Draw is one of the variations which typically spawns a lot of home-made variations due to its simple nature. Five Card Draw is one of the easiest poker games to learn. It is a poker game which requires a lot of luck to succeed since there is relatively little betting involved and hands can change so dramatically after the draw. Read on: Five Card Draw Poker Rules.

Rules for Poker Games - Lowball and Razz In both Lowball and Razz the object is to get the lowest hand. This really twists the hand ranking chart around, but luckily players do not usually have to worry about learning how to tell the best hand. Read on: Lowball and Razz Poker Rules

Rules for Poker Games - Crazy Pineapple Crazy Pineapple is a variation of Texas Hold'Em. There are two main differences in the game however, which make it very different and very interesting. Give it a try when you need a change of pace. It is not offered at most poker sites. UltimateBet is one of the few places you can find this unusual game. Read on: Crazy Pineapple Poker Rules

Rules for Poker Games - Triple Draw Triple Draw is the first game where the highest hand does not win at least a portion of the pot. Triple Draw is a Low Hand game. The most common variation of Triple Draw, and the one I am going over the rules for, is called Deuce to Seven. This refers to the best possible low. Another version called Ace to Five is also played and I have put the differences between the two games at the bottom of this page. This game is not often played online but can be found at UltimateBet. Read on: Triple Draw Poker Rules

But Before You Start ... Remember to have patience and fun while you learn! This is not a quick way to making thousands of dollars per day as some of the salesletters out there tell you. On the other hand it is not going to be brutally hard either if you apply yourself. And if you have fun while learning then time stops being an issue.

How To Play Bingo

Here you find information on both traditional types of bingo, that is 75 and 90 ball bingo games , however, recently bingo.com, an Internet bingo games company, has created their own 80-ball bingo game.

75 Ball Bingo

Traditionally played in in the United States and Canada, players buy cards with numbers on a 5×5 grid with headings of the 5 letters of each letter of B-I-N-G-O at the top of of the columns. Numbers are then drawn at random out of a total of 75 balls until the point that one player in the bingo hall completes the necessary bingo pattern, for example, straight line (one single line), blackout (fill the entire card), a letter C, a cross, etc.

Bingo cards contain twenty-five boxes on them with a number in the the box with the exception of the free space box in the center. The numbers on the card are chosen through the outcome of a ball mixer. The B column containsfive numbers chosen between 1 and 15. The i column will include five numbers from sixteen and 30. The N column will contain five numbers 31 and forty-five. G will contain five numbers between forty-six and 60, and lastly the O column between 61 and 75.

Usually players can choose from as many as six thousand unique cards to choose from, therefore, the game of bingo is primarily a game of chance not skill. However, the skill of the game derives when efficient players can play multiple cards and therefore, increase their chances of winning.

90 Ball Bingo Games

In most other countries 90-ball bingo is played. But, when playing online you will usually have many Internet bingo game sites offering both, and as mentioned above even 80 ball bingo. 90 ball bingo cards contain three lines and nine columns and will sometimes be bound in books. Single books have ten ten pages with ten separate cards each with a different color. Skilled players can play all 6 books, however, it is also possible to play a single book or a single card even.

Each individual card is called a ticket. Bingo tickets consist of 3 rows and 9 columns. Each row contains 5 random numbers and 4 blank spaces. 90 ball bingo is almost always played with strips of tickets. A strip is a set of 6 tickets, containing all 90 numbers, distributed throughout. When a strip of tickets is played in one bingo game, every possible number from 1-90 is covered and therefore, a number is crossed off at each bingo call. You buy strips of tickets at the beginning of each game, up to a maximum of 48 tickets.

The game is played with 3 patterns. The patterns are called One Line, Two Lines, and Full House. The first player to correctly cross off a horizontal line wins the first prize. The game then continues and the first player to cross off two horizontal lines wins the next prize. Finally, the first player to cross off all the numbers on a ticket (Full House) wins the maximum prize.

Online Bingo

When playing online the player will be offered a choice of the number of {{{tickets|cards}} he or she would like to play as well as the opportunity to choose a new set if you don't like the ones you've been given.

Each online game has a caller and a display board of the bingo numbers. The game pattern is also displayed. Most often you will find that the games cards are automatically marked therefore, selecting a large number of cards is not a problem.

Brief guide to Bingo

Bingo is a gambling game where players mark off numbers on a ticket that are randomly called out, If a players ticket has the winning combination on, they win. There is a similar game in America called bingo, but there are slight differences. A typical bingo ticket contains fifteen numbers arranged in three rows and nine columns. Each of these rows contains five numbers and four blank spaces, and then each column contains one, two or sometimes three numbers.

The game is run by a caller, whose job it is to call out numbers and check winners and their tickets. The game will usually start with the prizes being announced and the caller will ask for "eyes down" meaning the game is about to start. Various techniques are used to get the numbers whether it is an electronic random number generator, drawing counters from a bag or drawing balls from a mechanical machine. Once a ball has been drawn, the caller with shout out the number and usually use a nickname for the number, such as "knock at the door, number 4". As the numbers are called out, the players use a pen known as a "dabber" to mark off the numbers on their ticket. When all the numbers required to win a game have been called out, the player shouts out "House" or "line" depending on the prize, the caller or an official will the come and check the claim.

There are different winning combinations that you can get in a game, Line, which is when you get a horizontal line of five numbers. Two lines, is when you get any two lines on the ticket and a full house which is where you cover all fifteen numbers on the ticket. When the players first arrive at a bingo venue they buy books of tickets. Players often use around one and six books at a time. In UK bingo halls, playing is divided into sessions for different books.

As in most aspects of life newer technology is being incorporated into the game, in the UK auto validating systems are being used in larger clubs to check winner's claims, this involves a security code printed on the ticket being read out so that claims can be validated quicker. But unfortunately smaller clubs that don't have this system, every number from the winning combination needs to be read out to the caller who has to manually check them, which takes a lot longer. Another aspect of increased technology being used in the clubs is Programmable electronic tickets being used. These are wi-fi handheld terminals that allow players to have more tickets and speed up the claim validation service.

Bingo is an expanding and highly profitable business with loads of companies competing for the money it can make. Two of the largest companies in Britain are Gala Bingo and Mecca bingo. But now there is an increasing number of Internet Bingo companies are starting up and making money from new technology and the popularity of the internet allowing customers to play online bingo. Online bingo is played very similar to how it is in the bingo halls but everything is virtual, one notable feature is the chat functionality that allows interaction between players and the creation of online bingo communities. Online Poker Cheating: Why Collusion Doesn't Work

Immediately after the first Internet-poker website went online, people began to wonder if there might be a way to beat the system through cheating. It didn't take long for players to realize this fact: While they were playing online poker, they could be speaking on the telephone to another player at the same table, and no one else would be the wiser.

This idea of working with another player was not new to the world of poker. At brick-and-mortar poker establishments, players have been teaming up for as long as there has been gambling. Two players go to a cardroom and sit at the same poker table. They have a predetermined system of signals to communicate with each other about their hands. The theory is that, together, they can better manipulate the betting and, eventually, win a lot of money. This form of cheating is called collusion.

In practice, making collusion profitable is an iffy proposition. It is far more difficult to execute properly than most people realize. Nonetheless, done skillfully over a long period of time, two colluding players can gain an advantage over the rest of the table. For that reason, cardrooms and casinos have policies in place to watch for collusion. Should they spot evidence of two players working together in this manner, they will promptly ban those players from their establishment.

Online poker is a different story altogether, and you can see why. With online poker, there is no physical poker table where players actually see each other with their own eyeballs. When you play poker online, you could be doing anything. Players can (and do) post probability charts next to their computers, sit at their computers naked, loudly swear and curse and give tells like crazy. Anything and everything is okay, since players cannot see what other players are doing. There are activities that no player would dream of doing while seated at a game in person, but those same activities can be done easily when playing poker online.

Included in this list of possible activities is talking to other players. At an in-person game, it is not possible to carry on a secret conversation with one of the other players at the table. You cannot discuss your hand and devise joint strategies to defeat your opponents while you are involved in the game. Obviously, if you tried to do this, other players would know what you are doing. But that is not the case online. Online poker seems perfect for such strategies of collusion.

Players collude in online poker games all the time. Often, those players think they are the first people ever to devise such a brilliant scheme. They congratulate themselves on their cleverness. In truth, they are late to the party. It is estimated that as many as one out of every five online poker tables contains at least some players working in collusion in some way.

Is this collusion effective? Not really. Most players who try it, do so only for a while, and then give up after they notice they are not generating any more profit than they normally do. Often, the colluding players actually end up earning less than normal. Such players eventually conclude that working in cahoots with another player is more bother than it is worth, at least for them.

So, what are they doing wrong? Why do their efforts at collusion fail to produce a profit? There are four basic reasons why simple collusion does not work for most players:

1) The players do not communicate effectively. In most cases, players do not have a clear system of communication worked out before they get on the phone with each other and start blabbing about their hands. As a result, mistakes and misunderstandings are common.

2) They do not play well. For most players, the added complication of constantly dealing with another person, analyzing his hands and figuring out strategy with him, is too much added mental baggage. These players do not concentrate as well on the things they should be concentrating on during the game. The most common result is that they play too many poor and marginal hands. These players are eager to get in there and start using their new perceived advantage, and as a result, they play too many hands and play them badly.

3) They are only two players strong. Rarely do colluders get more than two people to go in on their scheme at one time, and that is not enough. And three or more players on a multi-way phone conversation is bedlam, and highly ineffective; it can never work to produce results. Two players are not enough to influence a game and its probabilities a sufficient amount to make much difference, especially if there are another four to eight players seated at the same table. Two guys sitting at a table of ten are not likely to accomplish much, no matter how good they are at their plan.

4) They don't know what to do. This is the biggest reason why online collusion fails for most players. They sit there on the phone with their buddy, and they just know they have some kind of an advantage over the rest of the table. However, they simply do not know what to do with their newfound power. They do not know how to use it.

If you are one of the millions of online poker players who suddenly get the bright idea to collude with a friend while you play, I offer you this advice: don't bother. If you persist in putting your little brainstorm to the test, go right ahead, but you will soon find your dreams of poker riches dashed upon the rocks of reality.

True, there are ways to cheat at online poker. Many players do so every day. But colluding with a friend is not one of those ways. Talking on the phone with your buddy while playing is a sure path to failure. Just in case you are open to hearing my message, I thought I'd save you the trouble and disappointment of trying this shortsighted scheme.

What kind of Online Bingo uk player are you?

Live Dealers and Multi-Player Tables

For years, I wouldn't look at any online casinos. I'd play online bingo. I'd try online poker and more recently, I started playing online backgammon which I'm not so good at, but I would never play regular online casino games. My friends would tell me about winning at online slots, or how they were amazing at Pai Gow or Caribbean Poker, but I'd never try any of those games.

Know why? I'm a social person. I like to socialize. When I play online bingo, there are plenty of people to talk to. Online poker - same thing. Even backgammon sites will let you chat with other players, but when you're playing the slots, there's no one to talk to.

Lately though, a few of my friends have been telling me about some online casinos that let you play table games with a live dealer and multiple players. So I decided to check it out. I set a time with a friend, and we got a private table for my induction into this novelty. And there I was, at a real table, playing Caribbean Poker with my buddy. Guess what? It was great!

I didn't even win, but I had a great time. I think these new live-dealer games are totally amazing. I just really enjoy the interaction, not to mention getting to root for my friends while I play.

It's great to be able to play blackjack, roulette, and craps with my buddies, and I'm already having a much better time with all those table games than I ever could have imagined, but there's still no motivation for me to play slots or video poker or keno. I suppose it would be easy to make Keno a multiplayer game, but that leaves video poker and slots as a separate issue.

So I'm wondering, what will come next? I mean is there room for multiplayer slots? How would it work? Could we compete against other slots players? Could we have chat screens working when we're at the slots? Would it be fun to chat with other players when we're playing slots or would everyone be too focused on their own slot machine?

For me, though, the new trend of live dealers and multiplayer games has opened up a whole new arena of play. I used to enjoy some of the table games at live casinos, and I'm much better at blackjack than I ever was at Texas holdem, so it's already done wonders for my budget!

I actually wonder what makes people interested in single-player games. I mean, it must be really lonely and pretty boring just clicking at a screen without talking to anyone or rooting for your friends. Why would anyone want to play that way? Am I shortsighted? I wonder, am I different from most gamblers or is this a trend that works for pretty much everyone? I hope it's the latter, because I really hope to see more and more online casinos open up chats and multiplayer games in the future!

Can You Go From Rags To Riches Playing Poker?

You will probably have read about various different players starting off with relatively little and going on to make a fortune from playing poker. In this article I'm going to be discussing whether anyone could potentially follow the same path themselves.

Well in theory you don't even need to start off with any money at all to become wildly successful. In theory you could do what a lot of new players do when they sign up to an online poker site, and that's taking part in freeroll tournaments.

This is a great way of getting tournament experience and is also a way of building up your bankroll because a lot of these tournaments offer some prize money for reaching the latter stages of these tournaments, even if the amounts are relatively small.

Over time as you become a more accomplished tournament player, you will hopefully have built up a bankroll and you can then either continue playing freerolls or make the step up to real money cash games and tournaments.

By taking part in these real money games you can potentially grow your bankroll a lot quicker simply because there's more money to be won.

One thing to bear in mind though. You have to slowly advance to the next stages of your poker career otherwise you're in danger of blowing your bankroll completely and having to start again from scratch.

Everyone goes through bad patches, even the pros, so make sure that as soon as you have built up a decent sum of money, you only risk a small percentage of this amount entering tournaments or taking part in cash games. In poker money management is everything if you are going to successfully grow your bankroll over time.

As your bankroll grows you can take part in higher stakes games and grow your money faster if you're successful, but always make sure you don't risk more than you can afford to lose, and allow for a possible losing streak, so you have more than enough money to hopefully recover.

The internet has of course produced many of these rags to riches stories, simply because online poker is so convenient and you can play 24 hours a day if you so wished honing your skills as much as you want.

You only have to look at Chris Ferguson, one of the top poker pros, who has recently been attempting to turn nothing into $10,000. He began by playing in the freeroll tournaments and amazingly he's managed to not only achieve this goal but do even better than this. Starting off last year, his current balance stands at just under $23,000 at the time of writing.

There are many others who have achieved similar success so it's definitely possible for people to make a lot of money from poker starting out with very little, or even nothing in some cases.

A Short History of Betting on the Aces

Racing started out nearly four hundred years ago as the sport of kings, but the little man has long since taken over. In America, the little fellow took over racing when the parimutuel machines were attuned to the common man. A Frenchman invented the machine, but the French failed to grasp the full possibilities of how machines could help the breed improve. The first machines came to the United States on a clipper ship, but that may be a coincidence.

For a number of years, the imported machines gathered dust in a warehouse because they sold only $5 tickets. Since even a skilled worker in those days was lucky to earn $15 a week, the little man saw no sense in going out to a track if his whole pay check was good for only two or three hunches. So racing was left to the frock-coat-and striped-pants-boys whose dividends had more stamina than the average pay check. They did business with men called bookmakers who are pickpockets who let you use your own hands.

Then along came a genius who probably was a direct descendant of the man who asked "Why?" when told "The show must go on." He asked why the machines could not sell cheaper tickets and another genius suggested $2 as the unit of trading. The horse now was on his way to some real improvement.

The frock-coat-and-striped-pants boys soon were swallowed up by the little fellow who had no concern about his dress unless he was being fitted for a barrel. The only formal dress requirements retained by the tracks are that, whatever the garment, it must have pockets. But there probably would be no objections to the eccentric fan who wanted to carry his money in his sock.

So far, the horses have not complained about the shift to casual wear, but they must have noted some changes because now the roars and yells that urge them on are not always couched in drawing room language. And instead of a few gently shouting encouragement from grandstand and clubhouse, there are now thousands lined along the rail from where lung power can really sweep the track.

If the striped-pants brigade had any complaints, their protests were drowned out by the din of clanking dollars as proceeds were counted at the end of each day. Society may have lent dignity and respectability to racing, but modern track owners prefer dividends. Since the betting in those days was done through bookmakers who sat on high stools but assuredly did not wear dunce caps, the tracks never knew how much money changed hands. The bookmakers simply paid the track for the privilege of catering both to man and man's good friend - the horse.

Several tracks still maintain an exclusive sanctum for those patrons who cannot only drive up in a chauffeured car but can also drive home the same way no matter in what fickle mood Lady Luck happens to be. Tracks, however, insist that these "bluebloods" also drop their money into the same mutuels, for the track likes its money thoroughly mixed. Nor does the little man object to this country club crowd, for to him it's the same proposition as getting a transfusion at a blood bank. He doesn't shop around for the blood donation of any particular person, and at the track he doesn't worry about whose money the cashier shoves to him through the window.

Racing started out on a slogan of "improve the breed of horses." Today's fan has kept the spirit of the old slogan but changed it to read: "Improve the breed of bankrolls." He is not interested in the social graces or in the manners of either the horses or his fellow players.

Whether the horse actually improves over the years is a question that is immaterial to the little man. He doesn't care how fast the horse runs just as long as its speed is a trifle faster than that of the next horse. This is the only kind of improvement he can understand.

A Review On Texas Poker Rules

Okay so you want a review on Texas poker rules. I totally commend you in refreshing yourself with the basics of the game. Because unless you absolutely have the basic foundation of the hierarchy of what hands are lower and what hands are higher, you will inevitably get into a situation thinking which is higher? A straight or a flush? If you don't know that, then you may lose a bundle of money that you shouldn't have in the first place. This article will deal with the basic Texas poker rules and hopefully will reinforce what you know already or have you learn it even better.

Of course, knowing the order of high hands and low hands won't automatically make you a wise man of the table but it will certainly let you know of the odds when you have to gamble. Putting the highest probability odds in your favor is really the name of the game and when you know this you will have to play a lot of hands to understand this. You can read as much as you can, but until you experience the highs and lows of a poker session you will never understand the meaning of having a made hand.

Poker Hands. You have basically 10 levels of poker hands that you have to absolutely understand and memorize. It sounds like a lot to learn but really once you see where the majority of the hands are learning the hierarchy of these hands within the Texas poker rules are not hard to learn.

I will list the following poker hands in the order of rank so that you can understand the hierarchy of Texas poker rules.

Low Poker Hand...This is the lowest hand you can get. This hand consists of nothing meaning you have no pairs, no trips, no nothing to be proud of. The only thing that you can say about this hand is that the highest card is called a kicker. The odds of this kind of hand winning in any format is almost next to nothing because of its lack of power.

Pair...This is having two same cards. That is 2 cards of deuces, three's, fours, you get the idea on this.

Two pair...This set of cards is one up from 1 pair as previously noted. These are 2 sets of cards that are the same.

Three of Kind...Now we're getting into betting territory. Cards of this nature are called trips. Sometimes they do trip you up if someone has a straight.

Straight...These are 5 cards in no particular suit that are consecutive, such as 9, 10, J, Q, K. Of course if there is more than one straight with a player, the straight with a higher kicker wins.

Flush...These are 5 cards of the same suit and they do not need to be in any particular order and this beats all other hands to this point. A flush could consist of all hearts, spades, diamonds or clubs.

Full House...This is a hand made of three cards of one rank and two cards of another. Trips and a pair as I like to call them.

Four of a kind...This is a rarity but when it comes it's almost a guaranteed winner but not quite. This hand consists of four cards of the rank such as 4 10's, 4 Jacks, 4 deuces.

Straight Flush...This hand is a straight as previously defined but these cards are all the same suit. Five consecutive cards of the same suit and when there's more than one player with a straight flush, the higher kicker wins.

Royal Flush...Now you're in heaven. This is the highest possible hand as Texas poker rules are defined. This is a straight hand from 10 to Ace in the same suit.

So knowing the basic foundation of Texas poker rules by hands is paramount in understanding the odds of the pot and what you're chances are in getting a card that can help you win.

Playing Multiple Online Poker Tables

One of online pokers biggest advantages over cardroom poker is the ability to play multiple tables at once. Try running between tables in a casino without winding yourself and annoying the other players. Almost all online poker sites allow you to play at more than one table and/or tournament simultaneously, or you can open up multiple programs if you have money at more than one site. This serves to both gratify the impatient players need for constant action as well as the consistent winning players desire to increase his hourly win rate. However, before you dive into multi-tabling you should follow some simple guidelines to ensure that you play well despite dividing up your attention.

Firstly, and most importantly, is that you should probably employ a consistent and otherwise boring game strategy. If you like to open 3 or 4 windows at a time like I do, you wont have much time for complicated moves and brilliant tactical plans. For starters, you wont really be able to study the opponents at your table so you cant make many adjustments based on their playing styles. While playing multiple tables, youll mostly have to play your position and your cards. To stay focused, play in a consistent pattern and play usually play certain hands the same way. Fold your weaker and more speculative hands to save yourself difficult decisions on the flop. Players are much loose and less observant online (theyre probably playing multiple tables like you!) so you dont have to worry about giving much of your strategy away.

My next piece of advice, and it should go without saying, is that you should pay attention to the table with the biggest monetary incentive. While that may seem obvious, sometimes Ill open up a $1 Sit n Go on the side to keep myself occupied in between hands at $2/4 No-Limit Holdem table. The most that I can win at the SnG is a few bucks, yet Ill sometimes find myself paying more attention to it when it gets down to the especially competitive stages. What I should be doing is paying attention to my main table, which can pocket me a few hundred dollars in a good session. If you play multiple tables, keep your attention where the money is or get out of the cheap game. If you are playing at tables of equal stakes, be sure to also divide your attention equally.

Finally, dont overlook the technical aspects of multi-tabling. While some sites are beginning to offer options to tile tables, most still do not and that wont help you if youre playing on multiple sites. You want to arrange the tables on the screen so that the action buttons from different tables dont overlap. It can be extremely frustrating (and costly) to try to click Fold and one table and have another table pop up at the last second, making you hit Raise on your 7-2 offsuit there instead. Turn up the resolution on your monitor to give more screen space to tables. If youre serious about online poker, you might invest in a larger monitor and/or video card that can fit more onto one screen. You should also take advantage of the act-ahead Fold button to both speed up the game and save your attention for more pressing hands. Playing multiple tables can certainly be profitable for the winning online poker player just be sure to do it right in order to avoid unnecessary mistakes.

Online Poker Rooms and Casinos - The Wireless Effect

Many users on the Internet report having a blast playing in online poker rooms and casinos. These types of Internet gaming sites allow players to play in live competition against other poker players across the Internet for cash money.

Once the popularity of the online poker rooms and casinos was cemented, users came from all over the world to play in online poker rooms and casinos for all manner of limits and no limit play. With this overwhelming glut of online poker room players, there would naturally be a home for all manner of modifications and bizarre designs that would allow online poker room and casino players to play as much as possible.

Despite all these wild designs and concepts, it is a simple matter to simply purchase a laptop or two and take them with you wherever you go. With today's wireless Internet options, the user can stay connected in many different ways.

First and foremost, new services from companies like Verizon allow nonstop communication between the Internet and the users computer through a wireless card, similar to a PCMCIA card, a standard attachment in any laptop. By using the wireless Verizon Internet, the user can stay attached and connected to the Internet online poker room for as long as they are within a service area, usually restricted to metropolitan areas and very limited suburban areas as well. This option costs around $45-$50 per month and is somewhat spotty in some areas.

Another option is the ubiquitous WiFi connections that are found all through cities in areas such as restaurants and cafés as well as bars and truck stops. These WiFi hotspots are well detailed and kept track of on the Internet by enthusiasts and can be used to provide free Internet for those who have a WiFi card attached and enabled on their laptop. The downfall of these types of services is that they have a limited range, usually less than 100 feet and generally turn off the service when they close the establishment for the evening.

Another option, a different option for online poker, although much slower, is to use a cell phone to connect to the Internet via a laptop. Many cell phones have built-in modems and can connect laptops to the Internet, although at very slow speeds. This method should be used only if none of the other methods are available or feasible. So don’t forget you van start playing poker online at FullTiltPoker.com

The Secrets To Becoming A Lucky Lottery Winner

Hands up, who wants to win the lottery? Come on, admit it - a few extra million in the bank is better that a kick in the teeth!

Recently, lottery winners were interviewed... 38% said that they had always believed it would happen to them, and 50% of the winners claimed that they had even dreamed about winning. Over half of those interviewed said they were 'lucky'.

So, could positive thinking and the law of attraction hold the key?...

Recently, there is more and more talk about the law of attraction. Basically, it says that like attract like, and that what we 'think' about most, we attract into our lives. Now, before I loose you, let me just say that this is a Universal Law, and just like gravity – although we can not see it, we know it exists.

Basically, it means that whatever thoughts we focus on the most, we will attract into our lives. If you are always dreaming of winning the lottery, then you are attracting this to you. On the flip side, telling people how 'unlucky' you are will just create more 'bad luck' in your life. Wait a minute, I can hear you squealing 'If that's the case, how come I'm not a lottery millionaire? I'm always telling people that I will win it one day, and dreaming of getting the big one'…

The law is very simple, however – most of us will have very unfocused thoughts running around our head. So you may one minute be saying "I want to win the lottery"… and the law of attraction will be set into motion. Then your mind will try and rationalize with you and say "Stop being silly, you'll never win…" In that very moment, you are canceling out your wish to win the National Lottery and stopping the flow of energy.

What we now know is that emotions will increase your thought vibrations – so as soon as you start feeling that you can't win, this will push your dream even further out of your grasp.

By simply understanding how the Law of Attraction works, and choosing to change your thoughts so that they are positive, you will be able to manifest more of your desires. If you have a deep rooted belief that you are ‘unlucky' or ‘always broke' then you may find you have to work harder at this whole manifestation lark…you may want do a bit more research into the law. One great starting place is to watch ‘The Secret' – this movie has transformed many thousands of people's lives Worldwide and you can watch the first 20 minutes for free on YouTube.

Here are some tips of increasing your lottery success:

1.Decide how much you want to win on the lottery

Write this figure down on several bits of paper and put around the house or office where you will see it often. For example, on the fridge, on the ceiling above your bed, next to the computer. It needs to be a figure you ‘believe'… if you want a million pounds but your mind screams ‘dream on', then choose a figure that is more acceptable to you.

2.Say Affirmations

Every morning and evening, look at this figure and say ‘I have won X pounds on the lottery and all of my dreams are coming true'…replacing X with the amount you desire. You can make up your own lottery affirmations; just make sure you state it as already having happened. Jump up and down; scream ‘Thank You!' – picture in your mind what you would do, get excited and feel grateful…

3.Visualize

Before getting out of bed and just before dropping off to sleep, imagine what you would do with the money, how you would feel…visualize how that amount of money would look like.

4.Feel thankful that you will win the lottery…

Believe that the winning ticket is coming to you! Feel grateful…

5.Buy a ticket!

This is the most important step. To give yours dreams a chance, you MUST take action. It is amazing how many people say they plan on winning the lottery but never get off their sweet behind to buy a ticket.

6.Have fun

Once you have purchased your ticket, go and relax and do something that makes you laugh. Forget all about your numbers. What will be, will be. By having fun and laughing, you will increase your positive vibration and that will make you more attractive to wealth…

Get started now, write down the amount you want to win and give it a go…what do you have to lose?

Single Deck Blackjack

Most experienced blackjack players know that the most profitable form of blackjack is the Single Deck blackjack game. Although most gamblers know this, a lot of them dont know how to maximize their profits or how to really use the advantage that a single deck game offers.

First, here are some numbers. But religiously following the basic blackjack strategy card, the casinos house edge in a single deck game is only 0.07% (This can be higher or lower depending on the specific rules in place). This is the lowest edge you can find in any casino game. This fact by itself makes single deck the game of choice for anyone going to the casino to make any form of profit. Players who mastered the art of card counting can give themselves a 0.5%-1.5% edge over the casino.

How does this advantage come into effect? Lets compare a single deck blackjack game with an 8 deck game. Let says you are dealt 6,5 for a total of 11 and you need a 10 to get to 21. Lets also assume that dealers exposed card is not a 10 or another face card. In a single deck game there are now 16 cards out of the 49 cards you havent seen that will give that coveted 21 or 32.7%. In an 8 deck game there are 128 cards that will help you out of 413 but your chances of hitting a ten are only 31%. The single deck game offers you better chances to win.

Now that youve seen an example for advantage a single deck game offers you need to know to use that advantage in your favor. That means learning and memorizing the single-deck blackjack strategy card by heart. Different games have different strategy cards so make sure you are learning the correct one or all will be vain. If you are playing in online casino (although single-deck games are hard to come by) you can just print a copy of the strategy card to have it besides you while you are playing.

Ill leave you with a very important tip regarding blackjack games which pay 6:5 for blackjack. These games should be avoided at all costs since they seriously lower your edge even if those games are single deck games. Luckily for us regular blackjack games are still available so we at least get the option to make the right choice.

How To Reach The Best Online Casino

Online casinos are the biggest craze in the current online gaming scenario. Online casinos are fun to play, easily accessible by amateurs as well as professionals, and most importantly affordable. In an online casino, an amateur would not need to distribute hands with a hardened professional and loose out on every bet. He can select the levels and play with his peers. These are some very good reasons behind the rising popularity of online casinos.

However, casinos are of diverse natures and types. You can find paid casinos where you need to deposit a certain amount of money before you would be allowed to participate, and free casinos where you need not pay any deposit. There are casinos which will spam your system with unnecessary pop ups and relatively professional casinos where you get only and only what you need. This necessitates the choice of casinos. In other words, choosing the best online casino gambling is the most important step. Following are some steps that will ensure that you get hand to the best online casino.

Check out for the ambience. Online casinos don’t necessarily mean adult casinos where you get spammed with pop up softwares and telephone numbers. It often causes problems to people who are trying a hand in their favorite gambling sport from their home. To avoid this, check out the ambience of the website and the type of services being offered. These will give you a first hand impression.

Check out for the payout percentage. Whenever you would participate in a game (blackjack, roulette, etc) you would be getting a payout upon winning. This payout may be in the form of cash or discount coupons and is usually a percentage. Some casinos do advertise lucrative payouts, which vary a lot from the real winning money. Ideally, you need to read the terms and conditions of payouts before finally selecting one. Any authentic online casino would display all terms and conditions regarding payouts, deductions, etc.

Reviews and feedbacks on forums and news websites can very effectively give you a first hand idea about the best online casinos. However, you should read only independent reviews and feedbacks, not the ones originated by some or the other free online gambling websites. Once you have read the feedbacks, your can check out the other steps mentioned above to make sure that you have got the best online casino.

How To Make A Profit From FREE 1X2 Soccer Picks/Tips

Home In On The Best Picks And Tips From Hundreds Each Week

Many football (soccer to our American friends) picks and tips sites provide only a few picks/tips a week, some only one, with many charging huge amounts for the privilege. In this article I will show you how to get the very best from hundreds of free and low cost picks and tips every week by answering these four questions.

What if you were able to pick the absolute best picks from hundreds of weekly picks/tips greatly increasing your chances of success?

What if those picks/tips are chosen based on the past performance of similar picks/tips and those picks/tips are all created using a combination of several tried and tested statistical methods?

What if you could know whether draw predictions, home predictions or away predictions are more successful for the English Premier League, the Italian Serie A, the German Bundesliga, or many other leagues across Europe?

What if you could do it all for FREE or very low cost?

Well now you can. If youre interested then read on.

Some Tips Are Better Than Others

Using well established statistical methods along with automated software its possible to generate hundreds of soccer tips every week for many leagues, theoretically you could cover all of the major leagues in the world. So what, why would you want to do that? Surely many of the tips will be grossly inaccurate but on the other hand many will be correct so how can you determine which will be successful and which not? It would be much better to just concentrate on one or two matches and predict their outcome by intensive and careful focused analysis.

On the face of it the above responses that I have seen over the years have some merit and deserve careful consideration, there is a good argument for focussed analysis of a single match with the aim of trying to predict its outcome. However, consider this, when a scientist runs a statistical analysis how many data items do they select as a representative sample? One, two or more? When carrying out statistical analysis the more data you have to work on the better the outcome. For example, if you wanted to calculate the average height of a class of school children you could just take the first two or three as a sample. But if they are all six feet tall they are going to be highly unrepresentative so obviously you would get all their heights and calculate the average from those, the result is a much more accurate answer. Its a simplistic example but hopefully you see my point. Obviously you can apply that argument to a single match by collecting past results for each side and carrying out statistical analysis techniques using that data, but why restrict your analysis to that one match?

We know that if we make hundreds of automated tips, based on sound tried and tested statistical methods, that some will be successful and others wont. So how do we target in on the best tips, the ones most likely to be correct, and how do we do it week after week? Well, the answer is to keep a record of how each and every tip performs, some tips are better than others and we want to know which ones. At this stage, if your thinking how can I possibly calculate all of that information for every game, in every league I want to cover, and do it every week, then dont worry Ill show you how its all done for you at the end of the article.

Results Are Not Always The Same

Simply keeping a record of how each of the hundreds of tips we make actually perform against the eventual result is not enough, what we need now is a way of analysing that data and grouping it logically to get the best from it. Results are not always the same, in other words a tip that shows one possible outcome for match A and the same possible outcome for match B will not necessarily produce the same result (i.e. a correct prediction or a wrong prediction). Why is this? Well there are hundreds of reasons why and you will never be able to account for them all, if you could you would no doubt be a millionaire. When trying to predict the outcome of a match you may look at such qualitative things as the current injury list of each team, the team sheet, morale of the players, etc. We can also look at Quantitative factors using our statistical methods to predict the outcome of the match, so we may look at such things as past performance, position in the league, or more tried and tested statistical methods such as the Rateform method. We can use all of this information to predict the outcome of match A and the outcome of match B and still not have the same result, part of the reason for this is, as explained before, that we can not account for all the factors in a match, its impossible. But theres something else, something we can account for which we have not yet thought about.

When we look at one match in isolation we only look at the factors concerning each of the two teams in the match, but why not expand this to look at how the other teams they have played are also performing? Why would we want to do that? I hear some of you say. Because results are not always the same. Lets say our prediction for match A and match B is a home win (forgetting about the predicted score for the moment). What else can we take into account to improve the prediction of a home win? We can look at the performance of all the home win tips made for the same competition that the match is being played in and then make a judgement based on that new information. This is great as it gives us an extra factoring level to take into account that we did not have before.

Looking across all the home win predictions in a single league will give us a percentage success rate for home wins for that particular league, but we can improve on this even further. We can do this by doing the exact same exercise across many different leagues and obtaining a percentage success rate for each league. This means we can now look for the league which produces the best overall home win prediction success rate and look for home win predictions for the coming fixtures. By default we know that that league is more likely to produce a successful outcome for a home prediction than any other. Of course we can employ this technique for away win and draw predictions as well.

How Tight Is The League?

Why does this difference between the leagues occur? As with trying to predict the outcome of a single match there are many factors that make up this phenomenon, but there are just a few major factors that influence why one league should produce more home wins through a season than another. The most obvious of these could be described as the tightness of the league. What do I mean by tightness? In any league there is often a gap in the skills and abilities of those teams consistently at the top of the league and those at the bottom, this is often expressed as a difference in class. This difference in class varies markedly between different leagues with some leagues being much more competitive than others due to a closer level of skills throughout the league, a tight league. In the case of a tight league the instances of drawn games will be more noticeable than with a not so tight league and home wins will most likely be of a lower frequency.

So, lets say we are interested in predicting a home win, armed with our new information about the tightness of leagues we could make predictions for matches throughout a season for as many leagues as we can manage, and watch how those predictions perform in each league. You will find that the success of the predictions will closely match the tightness of a particular league, so where a particular league produces more home wins then we will have more success with our home predictions. Dont be misled, this does not mean that just because there are more home wins we are bound to be more accurate, what I am taking about is a success rate in percentage terms of the number of home predictions made which has nothing directly to do with how many actual home wins there are. For example, lets say we make one hundred home predictions in league A and one hundred in league B, and lets say that seventy five percent are correct in league A but only sixty percent in league B. We have made the same number of predictions in each league with differing results, and those difference are most likely due to the tightness of each league. League B will be a tight league with more teams having similar levels of class, whereas league A has a wider margin of class when it comes to the teams within it. Therefore we should pick out the best performing league concerning home wins and make our home win selections from that league.

We Have To Be Consistent

Of course there is more to it than that. Its no good just taking each tip and recording how it performed we have to apply the same rules to each and every tip made. You have to make sure that the parameters you set for each predictive method you use (e.g. Rateform, Score Prediction, etc.) remain constant. So choose your best settings for each method and stick to them for each and every prediction, for every league, and for the whole season. You must do this in order to retain consistency of predictions within leagues, between leagues, and over time. There is nothing stopping you using several different sets of parameters as long as you keep the data produced from each separate.

If you are wondering what the parameters are then take the Rateform method as an example. Using this method we produce an integer number that represents the possible outcome of a match (Im not going to go into detail about the Rateform method here as thats the subject of another of my articles). You can set break points that represent a home win and an away win, so if the resulting rateform output for a match is higher than the upper breakpoint then that match could be deemed a home win. Similarly, if the resulting rateform output for a match is lower than the lower breakpoint then that match could be deemed as an away win. Anything that falls in-between is deemed a draw.

PKR Poker Software Description

PKR launched in August of 2006, and was dubbed the next generation in online poker for their innovative real-time, 3D poker capabilities. With a unique software platform already immensely popular with their rapidly growing player base, PKR saw fit to upgrade the software nearly a year later in May of 2007.

The overhaul of PKR's poker software, upgrade version v1.2, saw the incorporation of unique features, some never before seen in the Internet poker industry. The update included a new 'Met Bar' environment, a new tournament ranking and leader board system, plus new avatar animations and customization abilities.

The 'Met Bar' is a complete virtual environment. 3D PKR poker players are offered a complete panoramic view of the urban-style bar, with the inclusion of window views. The floor to ceiling windows provide an outstanding view of the city skyline, adding to the realistic effect of the 3D poker room.

Avatar customization was upgraded to allow players even more control over their virtual appearance. Players could now adjust the weight of their 3D character. Whether creating a true representation of themselves, or an alter ego, the weight range could now climb from waif-like appearance to bulbous features.

New clothing was added, including sporting paraphernalia like rugby and football shirts. A wider range of tattoo selections, headphones, earrings, body piercings and other fashionable accessories were integrated.

PKR Poker's Tournament Ranking and Leader Board features received a system upgrade as well. All real money players now receive sit n go and multi-table rankings that reflect their recent actions and results, rather than over time, giving new players the ability to move up the rank ladder more quickly. This system also allows PKR members to receive monthly prizes and promotional offerings each month based on their leader board performance.

Finally, the software upgrade implemented new functionality to the Emote Control System. The expansion of this feature gives players the opportunity to take advantage of even more facial expressions, as well as setting the mood and body language for an avatar when they are seated at a table, but not actively playing. PKR players also have the new option of standing up at the table when confronted with an all-in showdown.

PKR Poker just saw a landmark event - the anniversary of the 3D online poker room, August 17, 2007. This niche in their time line immediately follows PKR's announcement of a signed deal with PlayTech to launch PKR Online Casino. A release date for PKR Online Casino has not yet been revealed. It is not yet known whether the online casino venture will boast the same 'video game style' interface as PKR Poker has become so famous for.

Online Gambling-Dont Put All Your Eggs in One Basket

Before you start playing any online casino game make sure you have read the rules and regulations of the specific game you choose. The basic rules will generally remain the same, but there may be unique online game rules that will cost you big money if you dont pay attention. Make sure you read the specific online casinos terms and conditions, and any additional regulations. The casino game you choose to play also depends on your personality and the type of game that you enjoy the most. Whichever game you choose, just make sure you understand the rules for that specific game at that specific casino you decide to play at. Go with your gut. Youll know if you feel more comfortable with one game over another. One thing you definitely dont want to do is play the casino when you are mad, depressed and/or not thinking clearly, i.e. when drinking alcoholic beverages etc. Gambling during any of these emotional states can be extremely hazardous to you bankroll and are NOT recommended. Try your best to advise anyone who might be gambling in this type of situation to stop and take a break until they are in a better, clearer mindset.

Now that you have your game selected, you must practice. Practice makes perfect as the saying goes. However, just because you practice does not mean that you will have the same success when placing real bets, but you odds of winning will definitely be greater if you do put some time in to practice. Its like playing basketball. Yes you might get lucky and play a good game without practicing much, but I guarantee if you practiced ahead of time, you can have a great game. Anything worth winning or succeeding at takes some amount of time and effort to try and perfect. When gambling online, dont jump in on any game that looks cool or one that you never tried and start placing bets, as stated above. You need to familiarize yourself with the rules and regulations first and also how much you could possibly lose. You should only play games you are comfortable with and that fit your personality. Otherwise you are setting yourself up for a fall. Everyone had their own styles and preferences, it is best to stay within in your comfort zone. If there is a game you are curious about go in and practice first. A lot of online casinos have simulated play that is for the purpose of practice. Then when you feel confident enough, feel free to place real bets. Playing at online casinos is all about preparation. Only play when you feel confident, comfortable and have money you can afford use and possibly lose.

Can Roulette Sniper Help You to Make Thousands of Dollars?

Roulette is typically a game of chance.

When you use particular tactics on the roulette table, you need to educate yourself on how to increase your odds of winning dramatically - and with better odds, the more you should win.

This morning I was searching the net looking for a acceptable roulette wheel tactic when I discovered a new software called Roulette Sniper. I downloaded the 1 hour free test version which the Roulette Sniper website offers me and analyzed it out. I could not accept how accurately, the trial software was predicting when I should bet. During 11 minutes I gained enough chips to actually purchase the Roulette Sniper software.

I have trusted in winning with the Roulette Sniper over the past couple of months and I think it should be considered as the world's most valuable piece of software for cracking the roulette code. I'm not going to show you the money that I rake in using this crazy software, but I am going to tell you that the Roulette Sniper plain and simply works.

This extra instruction that I do recommend with this kick a$$ software is to check off conservative defaults, but raise the high/low numbers by roughly six digits. Depending on what online casinos you gamble in, this may influence the number of lucky breaks you will receive but definitely will boost the amount of money you bring in, so it is best to choose a casino where you can remove the animation.

Remember to employ wise cash flow management strategies when playing at the casinos and you will rake it in and stroll away rich.

I am Brian and I love online gambling. I have been playing it for 3 years. RouletteSniper.com If you want to give this powerful roulette software a try, go to the site at www.roulettesniper.com and register for the trial version.

Poker - An Overview

The difference between poker and every other casino game is that poker is not played against the house it is played against other players. Although the basics of the game are simple examining your hand and guessing what the other players may have playing the game well (winning) can involve complex strategies and psychological ploys. There are myriad versions of poker but the basic hierarchy of winning hands is the same:
  • Royal Flush: A, K, Q, J and 10 of the same suit.
  • Straight Flush: Five cards, all of the same suit and in sequence. For example, 9, 8, 7, 6 and 5 of hearts.
  • Four of a Kind: Four cards of the same rank. For example, four tens, four aces, etc. The other card or cards do not count.
  • Full House: Three cards of the same rank and two cards of another rank. For example, three jacks and two fives or three sevens and two threes, etc.
  • Flush: Five cards of the same suit in no particular order. For example, five hearts, five clubs, five spades, five diamonds.
  • Straight: Five cards in sequence regardless of suit. For example, 7, 8, 9, 10 and Jack or 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
  • Three of a Kind: Any three cards of the same rank. For example, three fives, three jacks, three aces, etc.
  • Two Pair: Two cards of one rank and two cards of another rank with one remaining card. For example, 8-8, 5-5 and 9 or J-J, 6-6 and A, etc.
  • One Pair: Two cards of the sane rank and three remaining unmatched cards. For example, K-K, 3, 9, Q or 7-7, 5, 10, A, etc.
Some Poker Games: Five card draw or traditional poker: Each player is dealt five cards and depending upon the rules of a particular game, can exchange up to four of the originally dealt cards for new ones. After that, the player must stick with the new hand for the rest of the game, either betting, calling or folding. In seven card stud, players are each dealt three cards down and one card face up, followed by the first round of betting, the bring in. The first bet is placed by the player with either the highest or lowest face up card, depending on the rules of that particular game. After the first bet, following bets are always made by the player with the highest showing hand. The fifth and sixth cards are dealt face up and the player with the highest showing hand makes a bet after the fifth card. Again, the player with the highest showing hand after the sixth face up card is dealt has the option to bet. If that player decides to call, the next highest hand player can take up the option to bet or call and so on down the line. Each time a bet is placed, any player in turn has the option to call, raise or fold. The seventh and final card is dealt face down and initiates another round of calling, betting, raising or folding. Dealing and betting, calling, etc. is done clockwise around the table. Once all best have been called, the hand is over. Players turn over the face down cards and the best hand wins the bet.

Online Poker Rooms - Target of New Regulations

The multitude of all the laws and regulations that have recently been passed regulating the nature of online poker rooms and casinos and determining how much money that they can collect. As well as even going so far as taxing online poker room and casino deposits that are funded by players as their online poker room and casino bankroll. Taxing the online poker room and casino players bankroll at sites is an overt tactic that sends a strong message from the government and regulatory bodies, indicating that they have little desire to allow games of skill such as poker to continue being played on the Internet, allowing individuals to profit from the playing of games of skill in online poker rooms and casinos.

This focus on discouraging the playing of Internet poker and other types of gaming has forced online poker rooms and casinos to establish their businesses outside of the United States, as well as preventing many United States players from participating in many of the online poker rooms and casinos that are available, due to the difficulty of funding the players bankroll. Since the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, players can no longer utilize their credit cards or any other type of standard banking service to fund their online poker room and casino bankroll.

Instead, they have to use a complex workaround involving payment processing centers such as NETeller to play in their favorite online poker rooms and casinos such as Fulltiltpoker.com With the constantly mounting new laws and regulations, it remains to be seen what exactly the government hopes to achieve by causing so many difficulties for players who literally play for pennies on many occasions.

Making such an extreme effort to crack down on a harmless industry leaves many industry experts convinced that it is the tax-free nature of online poker room and casino room gambling more so than any moral outrage that the nation as a whole has experienced that keeps the government motivated against online poker rooms and casinos such as Fulltiltpoker.com

It is interesting to note that the majority of those politicians who voted for the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act have not been reelected, and those who voted against it have enjoyed a healthy support base in the recent elections. The United States citizens at large have indicated many times over the years that they have little concern about the nature of online poker rooms and casinos in general. But the government, representative of the moral majority, continues to crack down on online poker room and casino players as well as establishments at every possible convenience.

Differences Between A Professional Bettor and an Amateur Bettor

Most casual bettors dont make a profit from their sports-betting hobby. This includes bettors who are relatively sharp as well as those who couldnt pick a winner if their lives depended on it. Thats not a horrible thing, either. If every bettor won, sportsbooks would be going belly up far more often than they do, and bettors would run out of places to play. And many bettors really dont care very much about earning a long-term profit. They like to have some action on games as a form of recreation or excitement, not as an investment decision. Many of these types of bettors are far more interested in TV games than anything else, and they tend to bet more on bigger games, like the Super Bowl or the NCAA Tournament.

Much of the industry considers money management as important as picking winners, and rightfully so. But throwing around buzzwords like money management and describing esoteric concepts like isolate a percentage of bankroll and positive expectation bets really doesnt help the fortunes of most recreational bettors. If you are content with betting solely for entertainment purposes, then this essay will serve little purpose. But if you wish to be a successful sports bettor and earn a profit from your betting through an extended period of time, here are some tips that should help in that quest.

1) Dont bet into bad numbers
Professional handicappers recognize the value of the half point. On the average college-basketball card for a Saturday, for example, there are at least six games that are won or lost against the spread by a point or less. A pro bettor will be on the right side of just about every one of those decisions. A professional will either getting the push when others lost, or the bettor will get the win when others pushed. The pro will take the extra time to shop around for the best number at multiple sportsbooks. The pro will have accounts that are funded in enough places to ensure that a bet can be made at the right place and at the right line. The pro will have an idea of which direction the line is likely to move, which will help in capitalizing on an advantageous number.

A professional will take these calculated steps, and as a result, a pro will win these close games more often than not. If a pro bettor a modest 20 bets a week (which equals out to roughly 1,000 a year, a number that is on the low side for most professionals), it is not unusual to gain an extra 10 or 15 victories a year and another 10 or 15 pushes just by betting at good numbers. Assuming the bettor is betting a modest two percent of his bankroll on any given play, those 20 or 30 favorable decisions translates into a 40-60 percent swing in the return on a sports-betting investment. That is a profile on how to earn profits one half-point at a time.

2) Make more straight bets and fewer parlays
Professional bettors make the vast majority of their bets as straight bets, not as parlays. For amateurs, the number is closer to 50/50, and there are many, many amateurs who rarely straight bet at all. But the straight bet is the pros bread and butter. Professionals are satisfied with the return on investment from a 3-2 day or a 12-8 week. They are in it for the long haul and not always the quick score that parlays provide. Amateurs are often lured by the big paydays that winning parlays provide, conveniently forgetting that a slow and steady winning approach will yield more profits. Straight bettors are pleased with taking more victories than losses because it will produce a profit every time. Parlay bettors would not be satisfied by this outcome. Theres a reason that every sportsbook in
Las Vegas has their parlay cards prominently displayed. Frankly, parlays pay the bills at most joints in Las Vegas. Thats not to say pro bettors never go for the long shot score. But when they do, they do it for a considerably lesser percentage of their bankroll, and they do it in conjunction with their straight bets, not in lieu of them.

3) Concentrate more on box scores and less on final scores
Its easy to look at the final score of a game and make all kinds of false assumptions. But without reading game recaps and looking at box scores, you really have no idea of what took place and the current form of the participating teams. Its key to handicap games again after the games are over. Ask yourself some questions: What happened that you expected to happen, and what was a surprise? Which things are likely to repeat themselves, and which are something of an anomaly?

Heres a fictitious example: The Pistons play the Bulls at home as nine-point favorites, but win by only 97-90. However, after looking at the box score, its clear that Detroit dominated for most of the game. The Pistons won the rebounding battle and forced the Bulls into turnovers. They led by double digits at halftime and after three quarters. But the Bulls hit some late shots in garbage time and closed the gap late. On that same night, the Raptors are nine-point favorites to the Nuggets and win by that same 97-90 margin. But the box score here indicates a whole different story. The Raptors trailed throughout this game, but got hot in the fourth quarter to steal the victory. Toronto made an uncharacteristic 27 of its 30 free-throw attempts and hit 10 3-pointers. Denver shot just 4-for-19 in the fourth quarter.

By examining the box scores, you can recognize that the Pistons are in better form than the Raptors and/or the Nuggets are in better form than the Bulls. This sort of deduction can make your future wagers involving those teams more likely to be successful, even though the final scores of the two games were exactly the same.

4) Take advantage of value
Linesmakers have a pretty good idea of which way the money is going to flow once they hang their opening numbers. Amateur bettors are a big part of this, falling in love with public teams and betting them over and over again. Public teams usually refer to the team with the most media attention. In college sports, these teams are usually in the top-25 and from a major conference. In pro sports, these teams are the hottest teams or teams at the top of their respective divisions or conferences. The professional bettor will recognize this public bias, notice that the lines are inflated for many of the best teams in the country and either bet against many of the good teams or pass on their games entirely.

The pro bettors concentrate much more on backing the teams that have fallen underneath the publics collective radar, as well as fading some of the mediocre squads that are in poor current form. The pros bet against top-25 clubs far more often than they back them. Because the teams are the most recognized, a bettor will catch six points on the underdog instead of four.

Its equally important to recognize when the linesmakers have priced you out of a play. When a team is flourishing, it becomes more and more risky to side with them. A team's value dwindles as their success grows, and a professional bettor will always be able to spot this trend and stay away from supporting these teams.

5) Be smart when betting your streaks
Its one of the most common mistakes that amateurs make, and its quite possibly the most costly. They press their losses, raising the stakes to get back to even off a losing streak. Pro bettors know that there will be times when you lose more than you win. Hopefully, those times are few and far between, but inevitably, they will happen to everybody. Rather than raising the stakes during those times when you are having a bad run, the pro lowers his stakes, conserving bankroll while waiting for things to turn around. A professional bettor will avoid a perilous approach. Conversely, the pro knows that winning streaks are the time to press your bets, not the time to pull back with a conservative approach. When a pro bettor is in good form and good rhythm, the professional will not be afraid to raise the stakes a bit, making larger plays when the percentages are favorable (positive expectation wagers). It sounds so basic dont chase losses and ride your winning streaks. But few amateur bettors have the discipline.
